Fees


Statutory Fees
 
Act No. 398 Public Acts of 2002, MCLA 600.2567, Effective March 31, 2003
 
Fees must accompany documents for recording
 
Payment methods accepted:   Cash,  Check or Credit Card
 
For entering and recording any Deed, Mortgage, Lis Pendens, Certified Copy or other instruments:
 
·        First Page $14.00*
·        Each additional page $3.00
 
*$4.00 of this fee is deposited to the Michigan State Survey and Remonumentation (MSSR) fund.
 
(The $4.00 MSSR fee is not assessed on Fixture Filings, Federal Liens, State Liens, MESC Liens, State Deeds, Plats or Tax Reversion Documents, MCLA 600.2567a(4))
 
Any document which assigns or discharges more than one instrument; $3.00 shall be added to the recording fee for each additional instrument so assigned or discharged.
 
Warranty Deeds, deeds which contain a covenant of warranty, Land Contracts or assignment of Land Contracts must have a tax certificate from the County Treasurer’s office.  MCLA 211.135:
 
·        For up to 5 descriptions $1.00
·        Each additional page .20
 
 
Fixture Filing Fees
 
MCLA 440.9525, MSA 19.9403 (to be recorded in real estate records)
 
Any standard form $15.00
 
 
Copy Fees
 
Copy of real estate records, per page $1.00 (.50 more for mailing)
 
Copy of Plats, per page $1.50 (.50 more for mailing)
 
Certificate of recorded documents $1.00 (Note:  certified documents must be copied in its entirety.)
 
Fax Fee $2.00 plus $1.00 per page
 
 
Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Fees
 
Act No. 348 Public Acts of 2000, as amended,

Credit/Debit Cards






















The Ogemaw County Register of Deeds Office now accepts credit/debit card payments towards recording fees, transfer tax and copies through a service provided by Government Payment Service.
 
To pay by debit/credit card, you must call 888-604-7888 or log onto www.governmentpayment.com  (This will direct you to the GPS website).

The following information is needed when making a payment:
1. Amount that is due for recording fee and transfer tax or copies. (Please call the Register of Deeds office at 989 345-0728 for the correct amount.)
2. Pay Location Code: 5989 (for recording fee & transfer tax)                            or Pay Location Code: 5991 (for copies)
3. The type of document being recorded and the names of the parties involved.
4. A valid MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover.
 
Please note: When charging your credit card, GPS will add a service fee
